If you have a Mac and also an iPhone just like me, you probably sync your iPhone to your Mac using iTunes. It just makes sense! However, you may have noticed that when you connect your iPhone to your Mac, the iPhoto application automatically opens also. Personally, I find this really annoying and end up closing iPhoto each time I connect my iPhone to my MacBook. Eventually, I decided to spend 5 minutes and fix the problem for good.
I’ve never seen these Henna tattoos before today, and as I was reading about them, I learned they aren’t permanent. To get a Henna tattoo, you actually mix up a batch of paste called Henna. The tattoo lasts for 2-4 weeks before it finally fades away. This is a really cute idea if you want a test run of what it feels like to have a design on your skin for a while. Apparently you can buy a Henna kit [...]

Image search is partially blocked, as are Google Docs, Google News and Google Groups. Other sites and apps that were previously and remain blocked include YouTube, search suggestions, Google Sites, Blogger and Picasa. I’m not sure if Jamie Martin had RC in mind when he designed “C.R.A.B.”, but certainly this amazing machine would be right at home in a modern sequel to those fabulous action movies. Millions of Android users who downloaded an innocuous wallpaper app from Google’s Android Market may be nodding their heads ‘yes.’ Turns out, that wallpaper app was sending voice mail passwords and many other bits of personal data to someone in Shenzhen, China, according to one report. The exploit was downloaded “anywhere from 1.1 million to 4.6 million times,” reports Dean Takahashi of VentureBeat. There are plenty of awesome Twitter and Facebook iPhone apps, but I finds qTweeter a must-have because you can broadcast social media updates just by pulling the app down from the status bar, and, say, vent about your co-worker while reading a particularly annoying email (not that we would, of course), rave about a new band you’re listening to [...]

Back in the day the entertainment industry tried to stop consumers from videotaping TV shows to watch at a later time. But the courts and Congress said taping TV shows is a non-infringing use of copyrighted works: it is “fair use.” Now, the Copyright Office has determined that Apple locking the iPhone to prevent it running unapproved apps is an unfair restriction on consumers’ fair use rights. Consumers should be allowed to jailbreak their iPhones and install whatever applications they [...]
